The Financial Administrator (FA) will perform general cost accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.
FA responsibilities include maintaining records for all transactions, preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports and processing reimbursements.
Additionally, the FA maintains the General Ledger (GL), codes invoices, sets up new projects/accounts, reconciles accounts, and verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
Ultimately, the FA will help Securboration manage and allocate resources effectively.
Responsibilities
* Ensure complete, accurate and timely processing of daily GL accounting transactions
* Create and update spreadsheets of daily transactions
* Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records to ensure compliance
* Process A/P and A/R accounting transactions
* Prepare appropriate journal entries, reconciliations, GL maintenance, and invoice coding
* Review and process timesheets
* Maintain and update financial forecast
* Ad hoc reporting for the Controller
* Review and process expense reimbursements
* Manage cash receipts/disbursements and post accounting transactions
* Assist with invoicing, billing, and contract closeout procedures
* Maintain records of invoices and tax payments
* Identify and address account/project discrepancies
Required Skills
* Experience as a Financial Administrator, Financial Analyst or similar role
* Knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
* MS Excel skills including v-lookups and pivot tables
* Attention to detail and analytical skills
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
Education & Experience
* Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, related discipline required or equivalent work experience
* Microsoft Office Suite proficiency required
* Accounting software (Deltek Costpoint) proficiency preferred a plus
* 1-3 years accounting experience with government contracts a plus
* Working knowledge of DCAA, DCMA, and FAR a plus
