Accounting Tasks: The majority of responsibilities are related to accounting tasks, which include: Maintaining working relationships with various leaders within the business:Building and nurturing professional relationships within the company.
Extracting necessary data from builder portals:Collecting relevant data from various sources.
Processing invoices and cash receipts within Sage 100 Construction (Soon to be NetSuite):Handling financial transactions and software transitions.
Managing the process of subcontractor payments based on client billings:Ensuring timely payments to subcontractors.
Managing the current commercial and residential projects accounting workflow:Overseeing financial aspects of ongoing projects.
Managing all aspects of project accounting, including AP, AR, labor PO’s, as related to all commercial and residential projects:Handling project-related financial tasks.
Preparing the monthly payment applications and following up as needed for payment:Ensuring timely payment applications and follow-ups.
Confirming timely release of job retention:Ensuring the release of job retention funds.
AR collections of outstanding billings:Managing accounts receivable and collections.
Setting up new projects per internal standard operating procedures:Initiating new projects with standardized procedures.
Preparing and delivering payment applications and supporting documentation to CFO for review and signature, before submitting to the customer:Ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
Liaison between customers and the management team:Facilitating communication between customers and the company's leadership.
Participating in monthly recurring meetings with colleagues to collect project data:Collaborating with colleagues to gather project-related data.
Providing general support to the CFO with ad-hoc projects:Assisting the CFO with various financial initiatives and tasks.
Understanding of GAAP:Having a good grasp of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Assisting in Annual Financial Audit:Supporting the annual financial audit process.
Maintaining accuracy of information:Ensuring the correctness of financial data.
Assisting CFO with month-end and ad-hoc reporting:Helping with financial reporting and special projects.
Continuous improvements of accounting processes:Identifying and implementing process improvements.
