Given our recent rapid growth and global expansion, this role is instrumental in partnering the US Leadership Team and will closely interact with the wider global finance team, the Senior Leadership Team, and our parent company for month end submissions and external auditors and consultants.
This role is critical to the deliverance of quality monthly results, financial control and compliance submissions.
Reporting to the Group Finance Director in the UK, the US Financial Controller is the senior finance role in the US and is responsible for leading and developing a financial partnering team supporting three legal entities in the US.
This will involve delivering the financial performance of the US business in conjunction with the Senior Management Team ensuring accurate timely financial reporting and efficient transaction processes.
Responsibilities will include:
Coordinating and managing the month end consolidated processes and delivering change and improvements progressively (maximising our Sage X3 system) whilst ensuring we work in a compliant and systematic manner.
Leading the US finance team ensuring that team members are motivated, trained and creating the environment for the individuals and team to develop and enable the skills to partner effectively with the broader Biocair business.
Ensuring detailed balance sheet reconciliations and cashflow management are undertaken in a standardized controlled manner with summary reporting for the Group Finance Director and CFO.
Controlling Intra Group Management Charging, developing clear process in place for quarterly settlement of intragroup transactions.
Ensuring all fiduciary obligations are progressed in a timely and accurate manner and to track all statutory submissions, clearly documenting key processes and driving continuous improvement in provision of detailed schedules.
Preparing audit brief for Finance Director and Senior Leadership Team.
Managing treasury processes for end cash management.
Assisting with the development of systems and initiatives relevant to enhancement of gross margin and statutory data, interacting as needed with broader business projects to drive financial control and efficiency of process.
Supporting the set-up for any new entities ensuring financial controls are maintained and the ability to report on new entity in a timely manner.
Effectively managing financial compliance and risk actions – statutory compliance, provision management, and master data and being a key lead contact for audit, insurance and other compliance responsibilities as they arise.
Driving collaboration with the rest of the US Operation, in addition to other departments and offices on a global basis, to achieve Biocair’ s company objectives.
In addition, you will demonstrate these key competencies:
Fully qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA or equivalent).
US GAAP and IFRS reporting.
Experience of managing multi-location people and teams.
Demonstrable experience in a global company environment.
Delivery of process improvement and change.
Knowledge of global trading, tax requirements and compliance.
Knowledge of international statutory requirements and processes.
Operating in matrix management dynamic environments.
Experienced in Microsoft office products, particularly Excel.
Experience of using Sage X3 or similar ERP system and TM-1 reporting tools.
