The Credit & Collections Analyst will be responsible for the timely review of all outstanding company receivables and for contacting and developing good business relationships with our customers to ensure accurate and timely payment of all invoices as well as the coordination within our finance department for credit check processes on all new customers during the onboarding process.
Responsibilities will include:
Prioritizing collection activities to maximize cash receipts and to minimize write-offs.
Contacting customers regarding overdue accounts and determining reasons for non-payment.
Maintaining detailed and accurate collections notes within the system, documenting all contacts made and records about customer payment status and commitments.
Issuing credit hold notifications after consultation with the Finance Manager and Sales Manager.
Coordinating customer wire-EFT-credit card payments with the finance department.
Issuing dunning letters to overdue accounts following review with the Finance Manager.
Recommending when accounts be shifted to a collection agency and bad debt written-off on a quarterly basis.
Creating weekly and monthly reports providing details regarding the number of delinquent accounts, payments received and past-due or outstanding payments.
Responding to all Credit References in a timely manner.
Issuing credit request forms as part of new customer onboarding process and tracking responses.
Coordinating with the sales team to obtain appropriate reference information.
Making credit recommendations based on responses received and notifying appropriate finance and operations team members of any action needed.

Experience with utilizing an accounting system and managing a collections database.

Experience of Sage, advanced Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
