As a project accountant at Stewart, you will be the designated “go to” person for all things related to the financial health of a project.
From an accounting standpoint, you will oversee the lifecycle of a project.
Position Responsibilities:
• Review and understand project contracts
• Set up and close-out projects in Vision following established guidelines
• Prepare pre-billing report for Project Manager review
• Update billing terms based on the marked-up pre-billing report from the Project Manager
• Prepare invoices accurately and in a timely manner to submit to the client
• Prepare project reports as needed
• Responsible for the collections on outstanding invoices
• Lead monthly AR meetings with Practice Leader and Project Managers
Position Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or Associates Degree and relevant industry work experience required
• Experience working with an engineering, architectural or design firm is preferred
• Experience with Deltek Vision preferred
• Possess strong verbal and written communications skills both internal and external
• Decision making, research and analytical problem solving skills
• Must have the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
