Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Accounting, this position will work closely with the Operational accounting team and be responsible for financial reporting and consolidations, as well as other aspects of the accounting close, including but not limited to, proper application of IFRS for accounting transactions, preparing GL account reconciliations, coordinating the monthly close and providing financial reporting in a collaborative team driven environment.
Your activities
Performs month end close duties and verifies the associated financial reports for accuracy and completeness.
Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the business operations, financial reporting and the general ledger structure.
Maintain monthly allocations of corporate overhead costs to appropriate Company and Intercompany categories.
Reconcile insurance balances, including Aviation, Workers Compensation and self-funded health insurance, as well as preparing necessary journal entries.
Account for stations Over the Counter Ground Handling cash collection and reconcile customer accounts and pay their monthly invoices.
Maintain Corporate Accrual journal entries; including bonus, vacation/sick, ensuring that all subledgers agree to general ledger.
Reconcile all Benefits accounts; including 401K, Health, Dental, LTD, Life Insurance, as well as the Legal reserve.
Balance Sheet rollforwards for prepaid and reserve balances.
Maintaining Lounge line of business accounting and Financial Statements.
Performs monthly bank reconciliations to include research and resolution of unreconciled balances.
Review and approve to ensure correct coding for purchase requests and accounts payable vouchers in the procurement/purchasing software (Ivalua).
Support system maintenance needs of Ivalua.
Support external audit by providing necessary PBC items.
Assist in special projects and/or other areas as needed.

Your profile
BS/BA in Accounting
Minimum 5 years working in a Corporate or other Accounting role to include monthly close activities.
CPA or CPA candidate.
High integrity, solid work ethic and exceptionally detail oriented.
Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment with tight deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel, Word, Visio skills required.
English fluency required.
Availability for travel when required (<10%).
