Job Overview: The Financial Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role at B & D Integrated Health Services, focusing on the oversight and management of financial operations.
This position is instrumental in maintaining the financial integrity of our healthcare services and business operations, with a specific emphasis on bookkeeping and federal and state grant management.
The ideal candidate possesses a keen understanding of financial principles, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to navigate the complexities of financial management within a healthcare setting with a mix of federal, state, and private revenue sources.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management and Oversight:
* Direct and oversee financial operations, including bookkeeping, budgeting, and federal and state grant management.
* Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and reduce expenditures.
* Generate financial reports and analyses for senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
Contract Management and Vendor Relations:
* Oversee contracts with vendors and service providers, including IT, language services, EHR, lab, pharmacy, etc.
* Negotiate contract terms and conditions, while fostering positive relationships with partners.
* Monitor contract performance and compliance, addressing any discrepancies or issues as they arise.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards governing financial operations.
* Implement robust quality control measures to uphold the integrity of financial processes and procedures.
* Work directly with contracted Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
Qualifications:
* Associate’s degree in accounting or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management, with a focus on bookkeeping and federal grant management.
* Proficiency in financial software and systems, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
* Understanding of healthcare billing practices and regulations is preferred.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial policies and procedures to a diverse workforce.
* Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
