*Payroll Administrator - (Salary)*
We are looking for a proficient payroll assistant to assist and/or lead in the weekly processing of payroll.
The payroll assistant will be responsible for maintaining employee data with strict confidentiality.
This position is an onsite position.
To be successful as a payroll assistant, you must have strong numeracy skills and be able to multitask effectively.
Ultimately, an outstanding payroll assistant should be able to manage all aspects of payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
*Essential Functions:*
* Process payroll, payroll audits, and all employee profile changes including, but not limited to: transfers, promotions, demotions, wage changes, job changes, terminations, and new hires.
* Assists with processing, accuracy and distribution of weekly payroll.
* Demonstrates general knowledge of payroll labor laws.
* Provide information and answering employee questions about payroll related matters.
* Completes various reports such as, but not limited to BLS and Multiple Worksite Reports.
* Positive, professional, and accurate written and verbal communication with employees and management at all levels.
* Provides assistance to auditors (internal and external) by providing reports and answering questions as needed.
* Performs various tasks and projects as needed within the HR and Payroll department such as, but not limited to, Verification of Employment, Wage Garnishments and internal self-audits.
* Assist New Hires with onboarding
* Maintain and audit Driver Training records and update excel spreadsheet (both in how it relates to payroll and their final day certification)
· Assist our terminals in distributing “Assessment Profiles” as requested
· This position will also assist with switchboard rotation coverage – about 1.
5 hours every other week.
*Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:*
· Three plus years in a Payroll Office performing all payroll functions
· Excellent skills using Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office Suite products
· Familiarity with Teams is a plus
· Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and
automated payroll system
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
· Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to recognize issues and take the initiative to propose solutions
· Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and under pressure
* Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
* Excellent written and verbal communication as well as strong interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of an electronic payroll/HRIS system (we use Paycom)
