The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for keeping financial records accurate and up to date related to AR.
The AR Specialist will use the company’s ERP systems to process and analyze business transactions; including billed invoices, sales tax reporting, gross profit comparisons, collections on outstanding balances, and other areas as requested.
A successful AR Specialist will ensure the company’s daily accounting functions run accurately and efficiently.
*Essential Job Functions*
* Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
* Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables data
* Assist with month end close
* Preparation/submission of AIA billings, using billing sites such as Textura and Procore
* Accounts receivable collections
* Accounts receivable deduction investigation and resolution
* Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
* Support in the reconciliation of cash accounts
* Ensure integrity and accuracy in financial reporting while providing timely, accurate, and insightful financial/business analysis and explanation to senior leadership
* Continuously update and implement process improvements such as streamlining close process, standardization, internal controls, monthly reporting packages and ad hoc reporting
* Ad hoc requests from management for reporting, analysis, documentation, or organization

*Work Environment*
This position works in an indoor office setting.
This position may however be required to enter a shop area or perform site visits periodically in which safety, environmental and health concerns may demand constant attention.
*Physical Demands*
This is a largely sedentary role.
This position may require employee to sit at a computer station/desk for prolonged periods of time up to 8 hours a day.
The employee is regularly required to read, count and write to accurately complete documentation required for position.
Employee must be able to use hands and fingers to operate keyboard and phone and to file and operate office equipment.
This position may require some walking, bending, reaching and standing.

This is a full-time position.
Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.

to 5:00 p.

or as scheduled with management with lunch.
This position may require hours beyond the standard working hours listed above to satisfy job duties and department demand.

*Required Education, Experience & Clearances*
* 0-3 years relevant experience in a medium sized construction or related company
* Experience with Acumatica software a plus
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business related field
* Valid Driver’s License & Evidence of Ability to Insure
