With locations in Raleigh and Charlotte, NC and the Chesapeake, VA area, Consolidated Laundry can help you design and build a coin-operated laundry business, commercial laundry or dry cleaning venture from start to finish, or we can outfit your facility with a single machine.
We are growing and evolving team, and we are currently looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to help us ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, state and federal laws and regulations, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
This person will sit on our Accounting Team and will perform monthly close duties to include journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis.
They will play an integral part in our monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting processes and will develop genuine relationships with the Southeast Region and our Corporate Office.
*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*
* Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and quarterly analytic package (present to management monthly).
* Perform accrual analysis to conclude on the reasonableness and standardization accruals monthly.
* Make recommendations based on analysis and status of reserves, assets and expenditures
* Prepare journal entries as necessary to properly account for monthly transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Assist with the annual financial statement audit with external and internal auditors and state sales tax audit.
* Coordinate accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments.
* Effectively work with other department leaders and managers to provide information as necessary.
* Help design and maintain accounting policies and procedures, implement automation of accounting processes, and improve internal control design.
* Complete special projects and other functions as required.
*PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION*
* Minimum 5+ years of solid related accounting and financial processes (financial close, reporting, and internal controls)
* Bachelors in Accounting required, CPA preferred.
* Distribution/Manufacture accounting experience preferred.
* Advanced Excel skills
* Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
* Willingness to take on challenges and think constructively to solve problems.
* Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards (e.
g.
, GAAP, SOX) is desirable.
