This position is based in Raleigh, North Carolina and may require travel to our main office in Durham, North Carolina periodically as well.
All duties are performed in person.
Flexible part-time position with daily shifts lasting 3-4 hours, scheduled throughout the week (Mon-Sun) based on the availability of the candidate and the requirements of the business.
What you will do
Our Lottery Auditors work closely with our client’s compliance and security team conducting daily oversight activities for live lottery drawings.
You will deliver timely, reliable, objective services that enhance the firm’s reputation.
You will serve as critical part of a team responsible for ensuring the integrity and transparency of the lottery draw process.
Make certain that every member of the lottery draw team consistently adheres to the approved lottery procedures by carrying out the necessary checklists.
Supervise the process of selecting machines and balls for the draw.
Enter ball identifiers into a computer application to uphold the chain of custody logs.
Transfer specific equipment from the secure room to the studio.
Finish a comprehensive checklist outlining the necessary procedures.
Record an audio of the game pretest procedures.
Confirm the completion of specific steps by communicating with lottery security and gaming vendors via telephone.
Exercise professional judgement and decision making based on professional standards and guidelines.
Attend supplemental training.
Understand and follow the firm’s communication protocols.
Adhere to the firm’s professional code of conduct.
As part of our compliance program, all team members are required to follow industry leading data and system security practices.
What you will need
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
At least two years demonstrated work experience.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong ethical code.
Ability to work well within a diverse team.
Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
Ability to provide services during the following times (1-4 pm and/or 8-12pm).
The scheduling will accommodate the candidate's availability, with a cap of 30 hours per week.
