The Senior Accountant is an integral part of IntraHealth's Finance team.
They are responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual billings on Federal and Private-sector contracts and grants primarily funded by USAID using Deltek Costpoint.
This position reports to the Controller; and could be based in our Chapel Hill, NC headquarters, or could be remote anywhere in the United States.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Client/Subcontractor Invoicing Works with Contracts and Grants, Funders, and Program staff to establish and modify billing templates as needed.
Works in Deltek Costpoint to create invoices on a timely basis, verifies expense and time charges and monitors budgets (both in total and when needed by line item) while working with CGP and Programs staff as needed.
Cash Receipts Processing Uses the General Ledger module – Cash Receipts Processing to enter cash receipts for invoices/other misc.

Reconciles to bank deposits monthly.
Works with customer and/or programs to ensure deposits are properly credited.
Project Code Setups Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in all aspects of Project module of Deltek Costpoint.
Performs setup for customers, projects, and project costing legs for projects in the Costpoint system.
Month End and Annual Audit Support Monthly reviews then post QuickBooks files from the Country Offices monthly Monthly enters the field journal entries from the County Office for review by Asst Controller.
Monthly prepares the monthly fee reclass entry for review by Controller.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 8 years of relevant experience combined with 2 or more years hands on Deltek Costpoint experience.
OR Master’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience combined with 2 or more years hands on experience with Deltek Costpoint.
Advanced use of Deltek Costpoint required.
Use of Quickbooks.
Knowledge of USAID and other Federal programs fiscal and compliance requirements, principles and practices.
Excellent analytical skills along with the ability to create and present detailed reports.
Able to work independently with general direction and limited supervision.
Displays good judgment and demonstrate initiative in solving problems and possess advanced critical thinking skills.
Demonstrated ability to conduct and effectively monitor several major activities simultaneously.
Must have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work with internal stakeholders and with external stakeholder groups and facilitate participatory discussion and joint decision-making.
Highly skilled and proficient at verifying financial or transactional data.
PREFERRED EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE Prior progressive background in accounts receivable.
3-5 years in experience in billing USG and NON USG grants and contracts.
Working knowledge of USAID/Federal Rules and Regulations.
Compensation The salary range for this role is expected to be: $60,000 - $92,000 per year.
Exact compensation may vary based on experience, education, training, skill level and market conditions.
