Project Accountant

is looking for a Project Accountant to join the team.
The position requires strong knowledge of construction accounting including job cost along with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
As part of our team, your responsibilities will include: * Create and submit project-related billings to customers, ensuring that all applicable billable costs are submitted * Maintain project-related records, including contracts and change orders * Investigate and document discrepancies and variances * Perform month-end close out of project accounts to ensure backlog accuracy * Create and submit Sales and Use reports and tax returns related to projects * Process supplier invoices, indirect charges, and cost applicability to projects Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree or 5 years in Construction Accounting are preferred * Strong knowledge of MS Office and accounting software (SAGE 100 preferred) * Experience with account reconciliations * Excellent communication, administrative, customer service, organization, and time-management skills Experience Preferred: * Textura * AIA Forms * Procore * Prolog * GC Pay * Contractor Specific Forms *Benefits* * Comprehensive medical and dental coverage - 100% Employer Paid * Life Insurance - 100% Employer Paid * Vision and Aflac coverage available * Flexible Spending Account - healthcare and dependent care * SIMPLE IRA with employer match * Paid time off and holidays Accounting Team consists of a group of 4 and the overall company consists of 32 employees Job Type: Full-time Pay: $65,000.
