*DESCRIPTION*

As the Accountant you will support management in all aspects of the accounting and reporting cycle.
*RESPONSIBILITIES*
* Support efficient and effective operations
* Processing vendor invoices, ensuring a two-step approval process and timely entry into the accounting system.
* Reconciling cash disbursements daily with designated bank account(s).
* Reconciling the general operating account with payroll bank statements.
* Verify timely entry of cash journals into the general ledger.
* Maintain the fixed asset system, ensuring that journal entries are up to date, the system reconciles to the general ledger and depreciation schedules are up-to-date.
* Support month-end close activities
* Entering and posting accruals in a timely manner.
* Trial balance preparation, researching and making correcting journal entries for any account discrepancies.
* Preparation of closing entries.
* Production of the financial statements.
* Support monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and planning cycles and financial deliverables to drive visibility into business performance and resource planning decisions.
* Perform various complex account analyses to generate insights into cost drivers and performance metrics.
* Prepare weekly cash projections.
* Monitor and track progress towards annual corporate goals.
* Prepare confidential reports for management use in collective bargaining or contract negotiations.
* Performs other duties as assigned based on business needs.
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Business/Finance or equivalent practical experience.
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent listening skills, attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Ability to work in customer centric environment, prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
* Ability to self-start and self-direct work with minimal supervision, re-prioritizing tasks as needed to align with changing business and/or financial priorities.
* Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office software, with emphasis on Excel and Word.
* Experience with MAS/SAP Accounting Software preferred.
Drug and background check required.

Pay: $18.
