What you will do in this role The Senior Accountant will be responsible for general accounting operations.
Responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assist with the close, budget and projection process.
In order to be successful in this role, this candidate must have a strong general accounting background with public accounting experience.
The Senior Accountant will report to the Director, Finance.
Responsibilities Prepare and review financial reports and statements in accordance with GAAP Demonstrate a thorough understanding of financial reporting and the general ledger structure Assist in ensuring an accurate and timely month and year-end close process Create and post journal entries as needed including maintenance of recurring journals Balance Sheet account reconciliation and analysis Bank statement reconciliations Create Intercompany journal entries and account reconciliations Assist in the annual budget and quarterly projections process Prepare and distribute Cost Center Statements to department heads and staff Additional ad-hoc reports and/or financial models & analytics as requested by management, including projects and initiatives that impact the entire organization Assist with the yearly audit; gather account information and documents Apply new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency and cost reductions Assist Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as needed Required Skills/Qualifications Bachelor's degree required CPA License preferred At least 5+ years experience with a minimum of 2 years of Public Accounting experience.
Familiarity with accounting software (i.
e.
Microsoft Dynamics AX, Oracle, SAP) Intermediate level Microsoft Office skills Excellent interpersonal skills and proactive communication skills along with strong initiative and balanced judgment Organizational skills with superior attention to detail Adaptable and entrepreneurial with a background in dynamic, fast‐moving business environment Ability to work effectively across diverse and cross-functional teams, under critical timelines while balancing the needs of internal and external customers Excellent time management and prioritization skills Why Atticus?
