Role & Responsibilities
The Sr Financial Analyst Operations reports to the Finance and Accounting Manager for the Creedmoor location.
This position will be an Operations Finance focused role, with primary areas of focus within Indirect and SG&A cost budgeting & reporting, inventory, working capital, operating cash flow, and CAPEX.
In addition to these areas, this role will be a key business partner for the Operations, PMO, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality departments.
This role will be expected to generate insights that drive action and lead to positive financial outcomes.
This role will be highly visible with opportunity for growth within Ontic.
Partner with Operations, PMO, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality departments to understand and drive financial and operating performance of the business
Maintain & improve on existing financial models, including the Ontic Creedmoor Indirect Rate model used to support government audits and guide pricing
Create, maintain, improve standard reporting capabilities across Indirect, SGA, Inventory, and CAPEX Reporting
Participate in inventory cycle counting process, including review of variances, and processing of financial adjustments
Contribute to strong internal control environment, including review and analysis of work in process (WIP) inventory
Lead weekly OPCF forecast model consolidation, with heavy partnership with the Finance and Accounting Manager
Assist and lead certain aspects of monthly financial Close, including but not limited to analysis & narrative, journal entries, account reconciliations, standard reporting
Support the Operations teams at month-end, owning consolidation efforts of Month-End sales order line item review
Lead budget consolidation of site Indirect and SG&A expenses
Identify opportunities within team and business for process improvement
Perform ad hoc analysis relating to financial and operating metrics
Additional projects prioritized by either business or department needs
Requirements (candidates must have)
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business
Strong Excel skills with ability to financial model and build tools & dashboards
2-5 years of analyst experience in Finance, Accounting, Banking, or related field
Strong interpersonal communication skills with ability to work well in a team environment
Strong presentation skills with ability to distill and explain complex data simply and concisely
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with various internal customers
Preferred (desired candidates should have)
Prior experience in manufacturing or aerospace
Thorough understanding of general accounting principles and financial statements
Knowledge of ERP and Reporting systems and how they interact
Strong written communication skills using business/financial writing techniques
Ability to work in a fast-paced, growing company
Self-starter, innate curiosity, and a problem-solving mentality
Able to work with some degree of ambiguity
