Job Summary The Finance team for IPS Adhesives is looking for ways to continue to unlock opportunities to maximize value across the markets and channels in which we operate.
You will work with stakeholders across the business to review and consolidate forecasts, ensuring the latest financial planning cascades across the business.
You will need to develop close working relationships with key cross functional stakeholders to identify opportunities where analytics can be leveraged to benefit objectives.
Your role is key in analyzing and interpreting results to enable the business to make informed strategic decisions with significant exposure to senior business leaders.
You will work together with the Global Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to ensure you meet tight deadlines, handle a demanding and fluctuating workload and at the same time provide accurate and reliable data.
You demonstrate thoroughness and attention to detail with a steadiness under pressure.
You are a team player who shows energy and persistence.
The Financial Analyst role reports directly to the Global FP&A Manager.
Key Responsibilities The Financial Analyst will assist the Global FP&A Manager in owning and running forecasting and actual reporting processes including all related deliverables (Flash reports, Forecast & Actual Narratives, Forecast review files, President’s letter inputs, budget decks, strategy financials).
Special analysis and projects to be conducted as per guidance from the Global FP&A Manager.
The analyst will also support the finance team with journal entry input, analysis and reporting across teams to present and translate important financial information and assist in company audits.
Job Functions & Duties Assistance with Month End close, Flash and Forecast reporting packages Rebate processing and monitoring accruals like rebates and freight Monthly sales reporting including customer P&L, PPV etc.
Journal entry posting such as samples, freight, sales and COGS allocations CAPEX tracking, reporting and analysis Margin analytics by customer, channel, sku Assist in annual budget process working with senior leaders Develop and implement KPIs across operating company Productivity and efficiency support (Kaizen) Partner with cost accountant and shared services accounting team Build SOPs and presentation support for FP&A department Adhoc analysis and reporting as needed Education, Experience & Skill Requirements Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business with an emphasis in finance required 2+ years of professional experience in finance preferred Strong analytical capability and the curiosity to blend various data sets to develop valuable insights across categories or departments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to combine understanding of the financial process with persuasiveness and confidence.
Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite including Excel analytical skillset Accurate and precise attention to detail Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently in fast paced environment Proven track record of problem solving, contributing, and influencing across levels and functions – analyzes, coordinates, executes and presents findings.
Other Preferred Experiences & Skills Experience with ERP systems strongly preferred Ability to drive process improvements and sustainment with minimal supervision Travel approx.
