Salary Range: $55,000-$60,000 annually
The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate records of accounts receivable, monitoring outstanding balances, and following up with customers to resolve any payment discrepancies.
This position requires an extremely detail-orientated person with some knowledge of accounting and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, knowing NetSuite is beneficial but not required.
Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable Management: Maintain and update accounts receivable records, including customer information, invoices, and payment details.
2.
Invoicing and Billing: Prepare and issue accurate invoices to customers based on sales orders or contractual agreements.
3.
Payment Processing: Receive and process payments from customers using various payment methods such as checks, credit cards, and electronic transfers.
4.
Collection Activities: Monitor overdue accounts and follow up with customers to collect outstanding payments.
This may involve communicating via phone, email, or written correspondence.
5.
Payment Reconciliation: Match payments received with outstanding invoices, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate allocation of payments.
6.
Customer Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, addressing their inquiries and concerns related to accounts receivable.
7.
Reporting: Generate regular reports on accounts receivable status, aging, collections, and cash flow projections.
8.
Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments to resolve customer issues and ensure accurate and timely invoicing and collections.
9.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounts receivable functions.
10.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and relevant regulations in all accounts receivable activities.
Requirements:
1.
Education: 2 years college degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
2.
Experience: Prior experience in accounts receivable, billing, or related financial roles is desirable but not required.
3.
Knowledge: Familiarity with accounting principles, invoicing procedures, and accounts receivable best practices.
Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
4.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to accurately record and reconcile financial transactions.
5.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with customers and internal stakeholders effectively.
6.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
