Job Summary
As we enter our next stage of growth, Spiffy is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team.
This individual will work closely with the Corporate Controller and Assistant Controller and will play a crucial role in the day-to-day financial operations, contributing to the overall accuracy of the Company’s financial reporting structure.

Responsibilities
Own the full process of accounts payable, including processing invoices, expenses, and payment requests
Develop and implement policies and processes related to accounts payable and expenditures
Review vendor bills and credit card expenses for accuracy, classification, cutoff, and payment terms
Match vendor bills to purchase orders and investigate differences
Reconcile vendor statements and payments to vendors
Reconcile credit card expenses recorded in GL to monthly statements
Reconcile accounts payable subledger to GL and investigate discrepancies and unusual balances
Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies
Own month-end and year-end closing processes related to accounts payable, including accruals for vendor bills not yet received
Post other accounting transactions (e.
g.
, manual checks and journal entries) as necessary.
Assist the Chief Financial Officer with the preparation of weekly cash forecasts
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in high-volume accounts payable processing
College degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software preferred
Excellent communication skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
