Description of Work The purpose of the Accounting Technician position is data input of the agency accounting system by means of the operation of the North Carolina Financial System.
This includes the accurate and timely entry of accounts payable invoices for all institutions/agencies in the North Central region with the primary focus on Central Regional Hospital.
This position is also responsible for the timely review for all 1099 vendors.
This position is also responsible for tracking and copying all contract invoices for cost reporting statistics.

Ability to understand and interpret new directives is also needed.
Requires familiarity with PC based application software including Microsoft Excel and Word.
Working knowledge of office methods and procedures.

Associate s degree in Accounting from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in accounting OR High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of experience in accounting work OR An equivalent combination of education and experience.
