*Position Summary*
The Business Controller will serve as the strategic partner to the East business unit's leadership team which currently has operations in Cleveland, OH and Holly Springs, NC.
The Business Controller will be responsible to provide management and leadership to the Finance and Accounting team focusing on functional efficiencies and driving improvements in EBITDA.
*Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:*
* provide management and leadership to the business unit's Finance and Accounting team
* Oversee plant accounting, financial analysis, AR, and AP teams
* Support in building the company’s global controllership function
* Build and develop the team and infrastructure to support growth initiatives
* Own month end close process for all activities within the Business Unit
* Accurate timely financials
* Consistent with corporate accounting guidelines
* Produce business unit management report including:
* Analysis and commentary of financial results
* KPIs and metrics
* Lead all business unit forecasting activities
* Annual budget
* Reforesting activities (as needed)
* Weekly cash flow
* Ownership of manufacturing costing
* Oversee annual cost build process ensuring accuracy and ensure consistent application of corporate costing policies
* Focus on improved visibility of manufacturing costs to corporate functional leads including Sales & Marketing, Engineering / project management, Op Ex, and corporate finance
* Drive improvements of working capital
* Support corporate OpEx initiatives
* Support in the creation of the evolution of operational reporting used to drive improved financial performance
* Support COO (integrator) in support of corporate Op ex projects
* Analyze and prioritize projects
* Track and validate impact projects post implementation
* Participate in key-strategic initiatives and ad-hoc projects as needed
*Reporting:*
* This position will report to the CFO
*Requirements: *
* 4 year degree in Accounting or Finance
* Minimum 10 years experience in a manufacturing environment (construction a plus)
* Strong Computer / ERP skills (ERP implementation experience a plus)
* Extensive knowledge of inventory valuation methods, the inventory process, bill of materials, routers, utilization planning, labor reporting, standard costing including burden absorption concepts and methods, and shop floor control process
* Strong leadership skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* The ability to travel – expect 25%
* Highly motivated, self-starter
