Description of Work
Position is an Accounting Clerk I- located at Johnston Correctional in Smithfield, NC which houses approximately 640 of minimum, male offenders.
This position provides support to the Administrative Services section of a minimum custody male correctional facility.
This position is responsible for maintain the encumbrance system, tracking expenditures and assisting with budget preparation and monitoring.
This position is responsible purchasing and accounting functions utilizing E-procurement and NCFS accounting system in ordering supplies and equipment.
This position obtains quotes, emergency authorizations, oversees administration of purchase orders, receipt supplies and equipment, processing Direct Processing Forms, prepare expense vouchers, and assist in maintain adequate inventory of institutions office supplies, assist in the preparation of various forms and reports, and other areas as assigned.
This employee should be able to plan, organize, read and analyze departmental policies and unit standards operation procedures.
