ZIEHL-ABEGG is looking for an analytical and results-oriented Assistant Controller who can be a strong contributor to our heavily expanding company.
The purpose of this role will be to assess current accounting operations, offer recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes, developing and monitor financial performance metrics, and oversee regulatory reporting.
Assistant Controller
Your main responsibilities will be:
• Assisting & preparing the presentation of financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and managing various accounting operations
• Following changes in regulations and compiling reports regarding compliance issues, standards, and accounting practices.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures that ensure the company's financial operations are running efficiently.
• Work closely with all functional areas of the business to provide reliable data, reporting, and analyses critical to strategic business decisions.
• Analyzing the site’s performance and continuously monitoring KPIs for management/leadership team site/group.
• Identify solutions to any discrepancies in financial records.
• Oversee the accuracy of accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process, ensuring all financial records are in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in budget preparation and financial forecasting, providing insights to management for strategic decision-making.
• Perform variance analysis on budget deviations.
• Participation in inventory count processes

• Hybrid flexibility- 1 day onsite required per week.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 5+ years accounting experience required
• 5+ years’ experience in public accounting required.
• 5+ years general ledger and monthly close experience required.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP.
• Must possess strong analytical, technological, and organizational skills.
• Accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail are required.
• Ability to work independently, within teams, other departments and meet communicated schedules and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to C-Suite
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office required.
