The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking an Accountant to join our corporate team in Raleigh, NC to assist in the performance of month-end and year-end general ledger close, account analysis, account reconciliations, and project analysis.
This position is ideal for an ambitious and experienced professional who seeks to be a part of a rapidly growing company.
This position will also provide the opportunity for independent initiative and judgement to improve and develop accounting processes and procedures in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepare accounting related entries to numerous registers, journals and logs following established accounting practices
• Follow established accounting processes
• Perform monthly bank settlements
• Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts
• Provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions
• Prepare documentation as needed for external auditors
• Build ad hoc financial and statistical reports as needed for management review
• Provide support to other corporate functions as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Licensing/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience:
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting or related field
• General ledger month-end and year-end close experience
• Physician Services or Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills, able to multi-task
• Strong customer service skills, collaborative and flexible
• Execution-focused, with the ability to take individual responsibility for delivering quality work in a timely manner
• Proficient in Word and Excel
• Experience with various ERP’s (i.
e.
Microsoft Dynamics SL, Great Plains, Intacct, etc.
) a plus
