What's interesting about this job? The Controller oversees the operations of the PPSAT Accounting Department.
They manage all general accounting functions and maintains accurate and current financial records of the affiliate.
Provide a system and process in which the activities between the 501(c)3 and 501(c)4 are appropriately segregated and accounted for correctly.

What You'll Do: (but not limited to) Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
Prepare or direct preparation of reports required by government agencies.
Oversee the operations of the Accounting Department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department’s goals and objectives.
Manage all the general accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Receipts and Disbursements, Payroll, Purchasing, Inventory Management, credit card and expense statement reporting, accounting software administration, and general ledger maintenance and activity.
Coordinate the activities associated with the annual audit and preparation of the 990’s for each corporate entity.
Test of accounting records (Retirement plan) by the independent auditors, including the assembly of audit documents, preparation of schedules and confirmation of data which support audit review of relevant accounts and coordination of audit schedules with other departments.
Provide system and process in which the activities between the 501-C3 and 501-C4 are appropriately segregated and accounted for correctly.
Coordinate months end close schedule and actual process to ensure timely and accurate preparation of Financial Statements.
Establish a schedule for timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and review reconciliations quarterly with Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Analyze and review end of month trial balance, income statement, balance sheet, statement of functional expense statement, and department statements via trend reports and other tools to look for trends and issues that need to be addressed.
Use analytic abilities to make suggestions for improving and streamlining processes within the Finance Department.
Performs Internal Audits of various functions as assigned.
Organize, coordinate, administer, and controls financial policies and procedures of the affiliate.
Provide coverage for CFO when CFO is unavailable.
Contribute to a positive work environment by following through on tasks, taking initiative, working with the team, and identifying solutions.
What You'll Bring to the Role: Prior supervisory experience.
Experience managing or working within a healthcare environment, especially non- profit experience.
