Position Overview: Reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance, the Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations and transactions of the finance department, developing standards and processes to reduce risk and maintain GAAP compliant accounting records, and compiles accurate and timely financial results and reporting to all necessary internal/external parties.
Essential Job Functions: Establish, develop, and maintain an efficient accounting operation to effectively support BSNA and subsidiaries.
Oversee the “order to cash” and “procure to pay” activities in NetSuite.
Ensure accurate processing of all inventory related transactions.
Ensure accurate field reporting of inventory usage.
Work with local management to establish inventory control policies.
Develop parts usage reporting by site.
Account for all activities in the Canadian subsidiary, including those required to be GAAP compliant with ASC 830.
Perform monthly consolidation of subsidiaries.
Manage all aspects of the General Ledger including journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis.
Manage month-end closing activities.
Prepare monthly financial reports and schedules.
Ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with applicable GAAP.
Ensure prompt filing of US sales taxes, Canada GST/HST/PST, and support external CPA firm to prepare state and federal income taxes.
Oversee annual financial audit, including physical inventory counts.
Prepare audit schedules as required.
Oversee budget reports, preparation of budgets, and analysis of budgets.
Support management reporting and profitability by customer.
Assist with developing quarterly forecasts and annual operating budgets.
Prepare reporting of variances to plan/forecasts.
Perform Administrator activities in NetSuite: provide user support, develop reports/searches and dashboards to meet business needs, maintain all user roles and permissions, as well as oversee advanced inventory management module.
Manage Concur Expense reporting system including user set up and support, monthly expense report processing and reporting.
Manage Ariba system or any equivalent customer portal used for processing and receiving purchase orders and billings.
Qualifications or Skills Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Finance or Business with an emphasis in Accounting) Certified Public Accountant (CPA) 7+ years of progressive accounting experience (2yrs in public accounting is desirable) Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Strong interpersonal skills, Executive-level verbal, and written communication skills Strong Microsoft Office Suite Required NetSuite experience preferred.
Must have the ability to respond and adjust to changing or new situations.
