We are currently seeking a full-time Regional Billing Manager to join our Finance team based out of our corporate headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina but may reside anywhere within our footprint.
Job Snapshot:
As the Regional Billing Manager, you will serve as the subject matter expert for a team of Project Billers.
This role will be the escalation point for billing and collection issues and responsible for the oversight of the assigned Project Billing Team.
The Regional Billing Manager will work closely with the Billing and Collections Manager on all aspects of the billing and collections functions as handled by the Project Billing Team.
Responsible for serving as the primary contact for the assigned Regional Director, fostering collaboration and effective communication.
Manages day-to-day project billing and collections, ensuring accuracy in accounting databases.
Reads and interprets contract provisions, overseeing project elements, rate schedules, and compliance.
Conducts audits of deadlines and billing cycles, with a monthly review of invoicing and collections for the Project Billing team.
Handles project completion activities, including backlog review and WIP accuracy.
Takes charge of training and developing Project Billers, overseeing team workflow, and guiding collection efforts.
Manages team reviews and conflict resolution as part of team management responsibilities.
Required Qualifications:
Associate degree in Accounting or Finance or 10+ years of comparable experience
5+ years experience in project billing
Understanding of Work in Progress (WIP)
Experience in KPI reporting and dashboards
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years people management
Experience in the engineering industry
Experience with BST software
