General Summary
The AR Credit Analyst will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day collection efforts from our customers with the aim of maintaining the appropriate level of customer receivables with minimal write-offs.
This position will work under general supervision.
Routine duties are performed with minimal supervision and standard practices or procedures allow employee to proceed alone at routine work.
There is an occasional check of work while in progress and work is reviewed upon completion.
Normal work hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Additional hours may also be required to complete specific projects that are deadline driven.
Overtime may be required as needed.
The incumbent must practice absolute confidentiality.
Good judgment and common sense is required in all duties and for any other tasks as assigned.
Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Monitors customer activity with the goal of meeting specified company targets.
Ensures that liens are filed in a timely fashion.
This includes preparing written correspondence to delinquent accounts and communicating with attorneys regarding legal actions.
Participates in the weekly Credit Committee meeting discussion of actions to be taken on delinquent customers.
Works with the company’s sales group to promote timely payments from customers.
Gains an understanding of the sales/order entry system to improve collection efforts with customers.
Gains an understanding of NC construction lien laws for use in deciding the appropriate actions to take on delinquent accounts.
Assists with the credit review process as required.
Gains a thorough understanding of the company’s quote to cash system.
Utilize software system for customer ticket retrieval.
Participates in phone coverage as dictated by absences and breaks of the receptionist.
Performs other related administrative duties as requested to assist the Accounting Department in meeting its goals.
Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills Diplomacy, discretion, and confidentiality must be practiced at all times.
Demonstrated use of intermediate computer operations (basic programming in 3rd and 4th generation languages, relational databases, and operating systems) and intermediate software packages word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
) Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents in English.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community in English.
Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format in English.
Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors in English.
Ability to prioritize and organize assignments.
Required Experiences High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Three (3) to five (5) years related experience and/or training required.
Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
