Moffatt & Nichol is actively looking for a Tax Director to join our Corporate Accounting Team.
This role will report to the CFO and oversee the company’s tax planning, preparation, and filing.
This role will develop and implement systems to compile information for various federal, state, and local reports.
This position can be located in any city in the US where Moffatt & Nichol has an office.

Responsible for developing and implementing innovative internal systems to compile information and authorizes submission of tax reports to various levels of government.
Develops corporate policies and authorizes/oversees their implementation, as well as recommending ways to minimize corporate tax liability through use of tax laws and regulations.
Prepares all tax papers on a regular basis and handles all information data request.
Identify and mitigate tax risks Manage tax provision and tax compliance process Improve processed by developing or implementing best practices.
Manga and coordinate tax audits.
Maintain tax balances on general ledger.
Ensures timely and accurate filing of tax returns.
Assess tax implications surrounding pending mergers and acquisitions.
Recommends ways to minimize corporate tax through use of tax laws and regulations.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; required 10+ years of experience; required CPA certification; preferred Expert knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of corporate tax returns; required All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171 Moffatt & Nichol uses E-Verify and employment is contingent upon the legal ability to obtain employment in the U.

Base salary range: $187,000 to $227,000 annually based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualification in job description.
Base salary range only applicable for candidates who will be hired and working in the California, New York City, or Washington market.
