Summary Job Description:
This is an onsite position, responsible for searching and verifying personal data (name, addresses and phone numbers) on returned letters and accounts for our Retail Clients.
Responsibilities include reviewing and updating personal data in Collection Master; verifying personal data through the use of Credit Bureau, LexisNexis, and researching debtor assets for verification of contact information.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Finding, reviewing and validating consumer information through internal and external sources.
Reviewing information from vendor leads, google, and other approved sources to locate executable asset information.
Adhering to governing federal and state laws and regulations along with internal policies.
Working with leadership to understand how to increase overall performance.
Making recommendations for improvements to daily automated and manual processes.
Performing various administrative duties, e.
g.
, copying, faxing and printing as needed.
Data entering findings into debt collection software.
Ability to understand the legal collections process, deadlines, and state laws.
Work in a professional, goal driven, collaborative, structured environment.
Additional related duties as assigned.
Accurately update electronic case files using various legal software tools.
Successful completion of various client regulatory compliance certifications.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office and Corel products to include WordPerfect, Word, Outlook and Excel preferred
Basic understanding of litigation legal process a plus
1-2 years collections, skip tracing or phone center customer service experience a plus
Ability to work in a team environment
Good verbal and written communication skills
Strong ability to analyze and verify collection data
Proven ability to process large volume of work in an efficient and precise manner
