Fred Smith Company is searching for a Payroll Administrator to help us keep growing! The Payroll Administrator is responsible and accountable to the Payroll Manager for the accurate and timely completion of all assigned duties.
The ideal candidate will be a thorough professional with good communication skills in English and Spanish.

We are a self-perform heavy civil contractor working in North Carolina.
Pay will be commensurate with experience; all employees are eligible after 90 days for benefits such as health, dental and vision insurance and paid time off.
Assigned Duties include:
Set up and maintain computerized personnel files regarding payroll data; personnel data, tax information, withholdings, wage and salary rates, etc.
Process payroll checks from daily time entry reports, edit time by checking postings and batch totals against manual totals.
Make changes and adjustments to employee deductions.
Run weekly payroll reports.
Help employees seeking assistance from social security, child support, etc.
by completing appropriate forms such as a Verification of Employment regarding hours worked and monies
Maintain records regarding weekly employee eligibility for accrued benefits, sick leave, vacation, holidays, etc.
Confer Sr.
Payroll Administrator on problems and progress, request council, advice and approval as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Accuracy in checking, posting, and counting.
Use of calculators, typewriter, computer, adding machine, copy machine, fax machine, telephone, console, and other typical office equipment.
Position requires knowledge of accounting and posting.
