Job Description:
Lead, direct, and oversee the daily accounting company in alignment with the mission, vision and values of Barnhill Contracting Company.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee the accounting function for the Building Group including job cost setup and updates to ensure timely entry and conformity with company job costing system.
Monitor Job cost updates, job estimates, overhead costs, and accounts payable/receivables to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Assist with purchase of insurance, setting up costs, risk management, and contractual risk transfer.
Assist with data reporting and analysis projects as requested by management.
Set clear and attainable goals for teams, holding each team member accountable.
Responsible for building high-performing teams through best practices in recruiting, hiring, mentoring, training/development, providing feedback through evaluations of direct reports and employee engagement.
Promote and support good internal and external relationships throughout all divisions and departments of Barnhill Contracting Company, with clients and the public.
Minimum Qualifications & Training:
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or an equivalent combination of work and experience preferred.
Education Major: Accounting
Work Experience:
5 years of experience.
Required License or Certification
NC Driver's License
CPA Certification required.
