Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for full-cycle accounting activities relating to daily transactions, accounts payable, completing the month-end close process, and developing reports for management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for month-end close with the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analytics
Manage day-to-day accounting functions to include AP and daily cash reconciliations
Accurately reconcile accounts, summarize activity, resolve reconciling differences appropriately, review budget to actual variances, and understand the Balance Sheet and P&L impacts of account activity, including classifications of financial statement line items
Reconciliation of intercompany transactions
Assist with the annual budget process
Communicate and work with other subsidiaries and departments
Perform other job-related duties as requested
Skills/Competencies:
Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles
Highly proficient with accounting software
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Experience Requirements
Three to five years of accounting experience required
Healthcare experience preferred
