***This position requires an initial in-person training period before transitioning to remote work.
Candidates must be located within three hours of the Raleigh area and willing to work in-office for four to six weeks.

This position requires the accurate and timely financial recordkeeping of approximately 25+ client accounts, including the recording of financial transactions and reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts.
While duties will be performed primarily using QuickBooks, both desktop and online, other accounting software platforms, such as Xero, may be utilized as well depending on client and industry.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare financial statements and reports, including profit and loss statement and balance sheet
- Bring current all financial transactions no less than every other banking day
- Record all client payroll activity and reconcile monthly
- Reconcile all prior month bank and credit card accounts by the 5th of each month
- Assist with budget preparations
- Record payment of bills and maintain ledgers
- Record receipts of paid receivables
- Keep track of client assets
- Communicate with clients on questions pertaining to activity
- Prepare sales tax returns (primarily NC)
- Work across various software systems
- Generate 1099s
- Prepare appropriate schedules and reports as requested by clients and partners
- Meet all client specific schedules/deadlines as established, i.
e.
bill payments, ad hoc reports, etc.
Experience required:
- 3+ years of experience in General Accounting
- 2+ years of experience in processing payroll
- 1+ years of customer service experience
