We're currently seeking an Accountant II, who will thrive in a dynamic start-up environment, to join our Finance team at our Raleigh HQ located in the vibrant North Hills, Midtown Raleigh area.
This role is a hybrid role with 3 days in- office expectations.
What You Will Own
Reconciling and reviewing inventory and COGS accounts, including collaborating with other business units on inventory process implementation and process improvement.
Work closely with the Revenue Accounting Manager to review sales transactions and ensure they are recognized in accordance with ASC 606 in Netsuite.
Monthly general ledger account activities and reporting for the following areas: Accounts Receivable, Inventory and COGS.
Providing support and coverage for other team members within the Finance department as necessary, and performing other accounting duties and preparing other reconciliations as needed.

Detailed Responsibilities
Lead the effort of quarterly and annual inventory count including preparing and reconciling inventory records
Collaborate with Supply Chain in monitoring inventory transactions and performing quarterly inventory valuation analysis (including preparation of LCM and E&O analyses)
Prepare monthly COGS, shipping and freight analyses and present findings to management
Assist Revenue Accounting Manager in reviewing and updating sales transactions in Netsuite to meet ASC 606 guidelines.
Help perform revenue controls throughout the month.
Participate and contribute in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement close activities and reporting.
Maintain the integrity of financial accounting and controls related to Inventory, COGS, and Accounts Receivable (including process documentation).
Prepare and review of workpapers and supporting schedules for the annual audit in responsible areas.
Assist other team members on a project-by-project basis and other various accounting projects as assigned.
Requirements
2+ years of general ledger accounting or relevant experience
BA/BS degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or other relevant field
Experience in NetSuite is strongly preferred but not required
Working knowledge of US GAAP as well as accounting and financial processes
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Windows including Microsoft Excel
Attention to detail and a solution-oriented mindset
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Positive attitude and self-motivated
Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and execute autonomously under monthly, quarterly, year-end close deadlines
Flexibility with the ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment
