The primary purpose of this Business Officer II position is to provide leadership to the administrative staff resources of the Business Relations Management and Customer Service (BRMCS) IT Business Office (ITBO) supporting a diverse and dynamic business operation.
This position reports directly to the BRMCS Director and is responsible for the supervision of staff performing duties relative to the fiscal operations, financial operations, contract administration, purchasing, budgeting, and accounting activities for all Information Technology activities at NCDOT.
This position applies comprehensive knowledge of accounting, budgetary and business practices for a multifaceted department unit with unique and specialized activities and services.
Selected candidate must reside in North Carolina at time of hire.

This position is located in the Transportation IT Division of DIT and provides the full spectrum of information processing services and support for information resource management in the Department of Transportation (DOT).
Within the Transportation Division, the Business Relations Management and Customer Service (BRMCS) unit provides strategic planning, research, consulting, and the implementation of process improvement actions that will administer industry best practices following all State and DOT policies and standards.
The BRMCS builds and strengthens collaborative and trusting relationships with customers by advocating on their behalf and ensuring that our services meet their business requirements.
