Purpose of Position/Summary of Work:
This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position.
Temporary employees who work an annual average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP).

This temporary position is located in Raleigh, NC - Wake County.
Telework Availability: We trust our employees to be self-motivated and successful in hybrid/remote roles; NC Department of Health and Human Services offers work from home options and variable work schedule flexibility for this position.
The Division of Health Benefits requires temporary workers with an approved hybrid telework schedule to work onsite at their assigned duty station at least 8 working days per month.

The Office of Compliance and Program Integrity (OCPI) is established to ensure compliance, efficiency, and accountability within N.
C.
Medicaid by detecting and preventing program fraud, waste, and abuse.
This position will work with multiple teams in OCPI to facilitate financial management.
Job Specific Responsibilities: Monitor and track identified overpayments Prepare and assist with audits Review monthly financial statements, account summaries and reports Support in the preparation for project proformas, annual plans and other financial projections Control costs by analyzing budgets and actuals, establishing procedures and implementing corrective action as required Perform analyses and prepare schedules/reports for the department and leadership – ad hoc reporting Prepare and assist with meetings with vendors and business units Perform continuous improvement of financial processes and makes recommendations towards reducing time and improving the efficiency of the financial functions Take accountability the invoices are properly accounted for, processed and paid in a timely manner Monitor and administer fiscal accounting procedures, processes, transactions and/or system interfaces; identifies discrepancies, variances and financial irregularities; perform reconciliations; analyze issues, recommend and coordinate problem resolution with staff, vendors and/or other operational stakeholders Serve as a functional liaison and provide internal and external customer support; perform research and review of financial accounts, budget transfers, contract documentation, grant funding, payments/receipts, billing, purchase orders and/or other fiscal process and verifies accuracy, compliance, and/or need for change; recommend and implements adjustments, enhancements or updates Quality assurance of AR (accounts receivable) setups Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies To receive credit for all of your work history and credentials, you must list the information on the application form.
