Description of Work This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position.

Note: Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their permanent or time-limited position in order to work in a temporary position.
All temporaries are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time.
Individuals hired in a temporary State job must be fully qualified for the job.

This temporary position is located in Raleigh- Wake County.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $26.
00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Public Safety.
This position is located at 2000 Yonkers Rd.
, Raleigh, NC 27604.
The duties of this position includes: supporting the cash management duties for the State Bureau of Investigation and well as DPS.
This position will be responsible for processing SBI cash receipts and fees in the new North Carolina Financial System (NCFS).
They will also perform Accounts Receivable duties and complete internal billing and other AR responsibilities for the agency.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies NOTE: Qualified applicants must meet and CLEARLY reflect on their application training and experience and all knowledge, skills, abilities, and any experience or competencies specified in the posting and/or supplemental question(s) to be considered.

Working knowledge of accounting methods, procedures, and accounting practices.
Knowledge of accounting and other software (e.
g.
: ERP, Excel, Word, Access).
Knowledge of basis mathematical computations.
Ability to understand, interpret, and apply the laws and regulations pertaining to financial records.
Ability to use posting, calculating, or adding machine in recording financial data or making computations.
Ability to prepare standard financial statements and reports.
Ability to identify and correct routine and recurring financial problems, referring more complex problems to a higher level.
Ability to present financial information clearly and concisely in oral and written form.
Ability to verify accounting documents and forms for accuracy and completeness.

Associate degree in accounting from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of accounting experience; or High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and three years of experience in accounting work; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
