This temporary position is located in Raleigh - Wake County.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $32.
00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
This temporary position will be assigned to Department of Public Safety.
This position is located at2000 Yonkers Rd, Raleigh, NC 27604.
The duties of this role include: updating and maintaining of financials for leases according to GASB87, bank reconciliations, reconciliation of capital assets, recording journal entries to the general ledger as needed, as well as assisting with other duties in the Financial Reporting section of the Controller's Office Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies NOTE: Qualified applicants must meet and CLEARLY reflect on their application training and experience and all knowledge, skills, abilities, and any experience or competencies specified in the posting and/or supplemental question(s) to be considered.

Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Intermediate knowledge of governmental accounting methods, procedures, and financial practices Ability to direct the work of lower-level accountants and support personnel.
Ability to interpret and apply complex Federal and State fiscal regulations.
Ability to use accounting judgment and theory to a wide variety of situations that are not covered by regulations or precedent.
Ability to develop complex accounting worksheets and reports.
Ability to present results of analysis to program administrators and negotiate changes and/or implementations.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a degree in business administration, finance, public administration, or a related discipline from an appropriately accredited institution with 18 semester hours of accounting coursework; and two years of professional accounting/auditing experience in the preparation of interpretive or analytical accounting.
