This temporary position is located in Raleigh, NC - Wake County.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $24.
00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Public Safety.
This position is located at 2000 Yonkers Road, Raleigh, NC 27604.
This position will work in the Accounts Payable Section of the Department of Public Safety.
The position will process all types of invoices received from each division within the agency as well as invoices received from other vendors and state government agencies This position will also assist the Fixed Assets Section by helping to properly record assets in NCFS.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

Working knowledge of accounting methods, procedures, and accounting practices.
Knowledge of accounting and other software (e.
g.
: ERP, Excel, Word, Access).
Knowledge of basis mathematical computations.
Ability to understand, interpret, and apply the laws and regulations pertaining to financial records.
Ability to use posting, calculating, or adding machine in recording financial data or making computations.
Ability to prepare standard financial statements and reports.
Ability to identify and correct routine and recurring financial problems, referring more complex problems to a higher level.
Ability to present financial information clearly and concisely in oral and written form.
Ability to verify accounting documents and forms for accuracy and completeness.

Associates degree in Accounting from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of accounting experience; or High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and three years of experience in accounting work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
