This position works independently with little supervision and is responsible for assisting division questions to which this person is assigned.
The position’s key responsibility is to audit and key in Fixed Assets portion of the NCFS.
The purpose of the Accounting Technician position is the accountability for recording the cost of newly acquired assets and effectively consolidate DHHS reporting responsibilities associated with Fixed Assets (equipment with the value of $500.
00 and above).
Job responsibilities include: Daily, weekly, and monthly auditing and record fixed asset acquisitions, modification, transfers retirement and loss of fixed assets in the Fixed Asset portion of the NCFS.
Closely works with the Fixed asset Lead assisting with the effectiveness of internal controls of fixed asset transactions and ensures that the appropriate accounting procedures and practices are followed as related to timeliness of asset.
This position is backup for direct payments, matching payments, travel reimbursements and other duties that are assigned.
This position is also responsible for researching, analyzing and solving problems related to the NCFS which requires that the position have a general knowledge of all sections, functions, and business practices within the Controller’s Office.
Must have the highest degree of independence, knowledge, experience, and organization skills.
