This position is deemed eligible for hybrid telework under DNCRs Telework Policy.
DPR65032827 Recruitment Salary: $31,688 - $50,000 Total Compensation Calculator This position is located at: Nature Research Center 121 West Jones Street, 2nd Floor Raleigh, NC 27601 Primary Purpose of Position: This position primarily handles all the credit card/check deposits of all parks across the State which are generated through our centralized reservation system.
These daily deposits run from $10,000 to $50,000 per day depending on the season.
Key Responsibilities: Receive and audit all deposits (cash receipts journals) from all parks, correct any errors to include following up with park and submit to the DNCR Controller’s Office for certification of funds.
Reconcile all deposits and attribute them to the appropriate accounts.
Upload deposit records into Money Counts database.
Send all validated deposit data to DNCR.
Receive the daily cash report, verify reports for accuracy, create deposit recap for funds to be entered into a Cash management system, create/key the journal voucher to the correct account/center to be entered into NCAS.
Access the banking information for credit card transactions through the NC Office of State Controller Website .
Separate and verify park transactions.
Work with Client Line to process chargebacks.
Receive and process refunds to visitors, as necessary.
Work with the Division of Parks and Recreation reservation vendor to ensure bank deposits matches the reservation system.
Receive incoming mail to the Finance Team, date stamps, sort to appropriate staff/section and distribute accordingly.
Handle paperwork required to title Division owned vehicles and obtain permanent license plates for all new division owned vehicles.
Serve as the primary backup for all Fixed Assets and Surplus related duties.
Position Requirements: Must become a Notary to support the Finance section and other sections as necessary.
