The position is designated Statutory Exempt and is exempt from the State Human Resources Act.
Want to play a critical role in our organization's financial management? We currently have an opening for a Business Officer II where you'll assist with policy development, interpretation, and planning.
This position will provide NCDIT Finance management with various analyses relating to management requests including the analysis of fiscal data, including visual analytics, to effectively present information to internal and external customers.
The Business Officer II will perform thorough analysis of funding awards and collaborate with Division leadership to project available funding, determining, establishing, and maintaining all necessary supporting documentation.
They will also track and validate grant spending and conduct long-term financial reviews and trend analyses of the grant budgets/spending plans to identify, in advance, any changes that are necessary to assure adequate funding and accurate accounting of Division activity.
This position is responsible for the development and implementation of analysis required for revenue and receipt projections, cash flow projections and overall management of grants finances to ensure continued ability to meet Division objectives.
About the Organization The IT Finance Division provides comprehensive financial services to NCDIT and related advisory services to the State's IT community.
Critical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, financial risk management, internal and external financial reporting, accounting, departmental procurement, budget development and execution, partnership with internal and external constituents, and support/planning for public-sector IT in North Carolina.
IT Finance is led by the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, or other discipline related to the area of assignment from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of progressive related experience, two years of which should be in a supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
