Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for accurately processing various bi-weekly payrolls and providing guidance regarding payroll and tax issues.
This includes but is not limited to processing payroll changes, auditing and reconciling payrolls, analysis of payroll procedures, processing and monitoring wage garnishments, child support and tax levies, calculating severance payments, sales commissions, etc.
Provides support and serves as back-up for Canadian payroll processing.
Reconciles and pays bills from payroll vendor.
Provides monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reporting as well as reporting as requested from other departments
Provides Payroll and Human Resources support for various locations as needed
Prepares monthly benefit cost allocations for various employee benefit plans and prepares spreadsheet to management for monthly benefit chargebacks to locations.
Prepares payroll data for annual workers compensation audit.
Performs other Human Resources or payroll-related duties and projects as directed by management.
Job Requirements:
2 – 4 years strong payroll experience.
ADP knowledge preferred.
Union payroll experience preferred.
Canadian payroll experience preferred Microsoft Office experience required, including but not limited to Excel, Word, Teams.
Strong knowledge of payroll and taxation regulations required.
Reporting experience required
