This chamber vacuum sealer is quite different from the suction type sealers that you can buy in grocery or hardware stores.
Perhaps the most unique thing that is different is that you can use it to seal liquids in thick food-grade bags.
I have used it to seal many, many pint or quart sized bags and stored them in my deep chest freezer that kept me stocked up for the cold winter months.
