If you are an energetic nanny who is looking for a fun afternoon opportunity, look no further! This family of 6 in Cary is looking for a communicative and flexible nanny to help them during the after-school hours while both parents work! Their children are 12, 10, 6, and almost 2, and they all love being outdoors.
The nanny will primarily be responsible for caring for the two youngest as the oldest two are self-sufficient.
They may ask a question about homework or stop in the kitchen for a quick chat, but the younger two love to walk to the nearby park and play with the nanny as time allows.
A typical day will include meeting the older children at home after they get off the bus, picking up the youngest from daycare by late afternoon, preparing a snack for the younger children, and then transporting the children to activities in the family’s mini-van.
The two youngest will need a simple dinner prepared and help with tidying up after their snack, meals, and playtime.
Otherwise, all the family would ask for help with is laundry for the two younger kids (the older two do their own laundry and typically make their own dinner) and keeping the peace if a sibling spat breaks out.
They do have a snake (confined but in the house) and a hedgehog, and the family would want to be sure the nanny is comfortable with the pets in the home.
The typical work hours would be Monday-Friday 3:30 pm-7 pm or 7:30 pm at the latest with the option for additional hours on Wednesday evenings for date night.
This is not required as they do have a sitter they use currently.
They are willing to guarantee a minimum of 18 hours weekly.
