The family welcomed their second son in mid-January and has a sweet and smart 2.
5-year-old as well.
The ideal nanny would be interested in being very engaged with the boys throughout the day including working with the boys on developmental milestones, age-appropriate play, and spending lots of time outdoors.
The oldest is in preschool (about 1 mile away) 3 mornings a week and will transition to 5 mornings in the fall.
They do have a vehicle the nanny can utilize for pickup and drop off as well as taking the boys on outings to nearby parks, library storytime, and museums (they have a membership to the Life and Science Museum).
They also have a family member with a nearby pool and would love it if the nanny is comfortable taking the boys to the pool on summer days!
Outside of providing attentive care for the boys, the family would greatly appreciate someone who is willing to help with light household duties such as unloading the dishwasher, preparing lunch and cleaning up after, tidying up areas where the children play, and assisting with laundry.
If a candidate was willing to assist with additional light household duties, they would also consider offering increased hours for the additional help!
Both parents work in high-demand fields and primarily outside of the home, so reliability, dependability, and punctuality are very important! Flexibility is also key as they don’t have predictable weekly hours, but can provide the schedule in advance and will communicate any changes as they come up.
They are seeking a strong communicator who understands the demands of two working parents and is organized and communicative about any time off or illnesses with as much notice as possible.
The typical work hours will fall between 7:30 am-7 pm and will vary with some weeks being longer and others being shorter.
Typically the nanny will work 60 hours in two weeks and the family is willing to guarantee 30 minimum weekly hours (or 60 each pay period).
They also would be thrilled if their nanny was flexible to assist with 1 weekend a month when mom works a heavy schedule and dad could use the extra assistance with the boys.
This is not a dealbreaker, but would be wonderful! They are seeking a long-term nanny and their unicorn would be interested in multiple years, but they plan to take the contract one year at a time!
