A dual-surgeon family in Durham is searching for an experienced and reliable nanny partner for their 1 year old son.
Imagine your afternoons consisting of engaging with a happy-go-lucky toddler who is ready to explore the world! He’d love it if you’d sing or read to him, maybe followed by a walk or outing to a nearby park, museum, or library for storytime.
He enjoys being engaged during his wake windows, hearing what you have to say about him and the world around him, but also enjoys his routine meals and naps (they are fans of a regular routine)! He has some recent allergies to dairy, eggs, and peanuts but the family will guide you on what things are safe for him.
In the afternoons, their son typically takes a long nap and the family would appreciate someone who can take on one or two chores each day during nap time.
This would include tidying up communal spaces used, vacuuming the play area, emptying the diaper pail, changing crib sheets, or running a load of baby laundry, but otherwise, they encourage you to focus on his continued development and care.
A childcare provider who is reliable and will arrive promptly each day is of paramount importance, as you will be relieving the morning nanny from their duties upon your arrival.
The typical schedule will be Monday-Friday 2 PM-7 PM, however, there will be days that the family will not need coverage until 7 PM.
There are 25 hours per week available with the opportunity of additional hours offered if desired.
