Job Type: Full-time, Seasonal (Prepare for a pawsitively awesome adventure!)
Overview:
Are you ready to embark on an adventure filled with wagging tails and enthusiastic young minds? Your mission, should you choose to accept it, involves nurturing the curiosity of budding veterinarians while ensuring everyone has a hoot during our overnight stays.
You will be in charge of 8 female overnight campers and assisting with 12-14 total campers in the daytime.
Responsibilities:
* Channel your inner child whisperer to supervise and mentor our overnight campers—eight fabulous future veterinarians-to-be—making sure they're safe, sound, and ready to dream about stethoscopes and paw prints.
Camper safety is our NUMBER 1 priority and your primary responcibility.
* Assisting the Camp Director during the day with any prep work, lessons and clean up when appropriate.
* Get ready to lead the charge in organizing/implementing educational activities that'll make learning about veterinary medicine and animal care as exciting as a game of "fetch.
"
* Engage campers in hands-on experiences with animals—( this is optional and under supervision, of course).
* Collaborate with fellow counselors to plan daily schedules and programs that'll have campers jumping for joy—metaphorically, of course.
Qualifications:
* Enjoy being with kids and our adorable animal friends in outdoor/farm settings in all kinds of weather.
.
* Experience or coursework in Veterinary Science, Biology, Zoology, or animal related fields are a bonus.
* Be 20 years or older
* Enjoy being with kids and our adorable animal friends in outdoor/farm settings in all kinds of weather.

* Flex those muscles as you might need to lift up to 50 lbs—no, not a grizzly bear, but still, a considerable weight.
* Prior experience in educational settings—show us your stripes in camp counseling, teaching, and animal knowledge.
* Ace communication skills, especially with our chirpy campers, and a knack for inspiring the future generation of veterinarians.
Additional Requirements:
* Flexibility to work overnight shifts and occasionally on weekends—we promise the stars will be your nightlight!
* Not quite a marathon, but be ready for a lot of running and walking—we're talking more than a determined chicken with a basket of corn!
* CPR and First Aid certification are paw-some, and if you can keep a watchful eye on our campers in the water, Lifeguard Certification is a big bonus.
Benefits:
* Competitive compensation based on experience that'll make you do a happy dance (or at least a happy dog tail wag)!
* Housing provided
* A chance to dive nose-deep into education, veterinary care, and leadership—it's like a treasure trove of knowledge!
* Make a lasting impact on budding young minds—be their hero without wearing a cape (though, a stethoscope might be involved).
