Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards.
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment for students.
- Provide instruction in various subjects, including math, language arts, science, and social studies.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians.
- Utilize different teaching methods and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the educational experience for students.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
Requirements:
- North Carolina Credentials, Associates in Applied Science, Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Teaching certification or licensure (state-specific requirements may apply).
- Experience working with children in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of the subject matter being taught (e.
g.
, math, language arts).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Patience, flexibility, and adaptability in working with diverse student populations.
Must be able to pass the Chidcare Criminal Background Check, obtain a TB test and Health Physical
Note: Experience or knowledge in tutoring, physical education, daycare, or child welfare is a plus but not required for all teaching positions.
